NIC Institute of Technology (NICIT), situated at Rajarhat, North 24 Parganas, Kolkata – 700135, was established on 5th May, 2011 under Indian Trust Act. 1882. From the beginning the Institute was engaged in conducting Vocational Training with Hands-on practical classes by using production-oriented environment in the workshop and laboratories.
The students were also trained in the maintenance work (like Car Maintenance, Two, Three and Four-wheeler Maintenance, etc.) in a workshop inside the institute campus.
NICIT is organizing a number of Government sponsored Skill Development Training Programmes under various Departments / Ministries of Central and State Governments in order to help candidates from economically backward families to get benefit under the Govt. Training Schemes. Our training programmes are organized throughout the year for the women’s upliftment and their empowerment by keeping seat reservation for 33% women candidates as per the guidelines of Govt. of India.
Sri Barunava Chowdhury - Chairman & Founder of NIC Institute of Technology, who is also the CEO of M/s National Industrial Corporation is conducting the day-to-day operation of the institute. NICIT has got three campuses with well-furnished Classrooms and well-equipped workshops / Labs with state-of-the-art technology equipment and machinery to provide the practical hands-on-training to all the trainee candidates. We have CCTV cameras for close monitoring along with AADHAAR enable BIO-Metric systems available in all the three campuses for daily attendance of candidates as well as trainers.
The Institute has got adequate number of computers and High-Speed Internet Connection with Wi-Fi facilities along with other modern gazettes for communication with the rest of the world
Safe drinking water (RO) and power back up facilities have been provided within all the campuses. General safety equipment i.e. Fire Fighting Equipment (Co2 type, ABC type Fire extinguisher) are also available in our campus.
Separate toilets for Male and Female candidates as well as facility for PwD candidates are also available within the campus.
Our parent organization “NATIONAL INDUSTRIAL CORPORATION (NIC)” located at 33, C.R. Avenue, Kolkata - 700012, was established in the year 1991 to cater the needs of Tools, Equipment and Machinery for Educational Institutes mainly School, Colleges, ITI, Polytechnic and Engineering Colleges. In the process the parent company started its own activities in design and manufacturing of Electrical, Electronic and Mechanical Instruments under the guideline of The National Small Industries Corporation Limited (NSIC), for about 55 scientific equipment which is required mainly for practical training purposes in Educational Institutes.
We have started apprenticeship training under Board of Practical Training (BOPT, Eastern Region) mainly for ITI and Diploma Students. Our parent organization “NATIONAL INDUSTRIAL CORPORATION (NIC)” received Best Establishment Award in Eastern Region from the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Govt. of India towards Skill Development Training.
We are happy to announce that National Industrial Corporation, has been accredited with the Ministry of External Affairs, Govt. of India as an Overseas Recruitment Agency (RA) vide Registration No. B-0966/KOL/PER/100/5/9318/2018. to make overseas placement of skilled manpower under the Section 11 of the Emigration Act, 1983.
From the above experience a second Institute, namely Anjani Institute of Technology (AIT) was established on 19th February, 2013 at Bhaluka Bazar, Malda, West Bengal.by Late Bholanath Chowdhury - President & Founder. The Institute is administered by his son Sri Barunava Chowdhury – Secretary.
In order to meet the continuously rising global demand for skilled trained manpower NICIT has started skill development training program to develop skilled and trained manpower to fulfil the requirement in the domestic and overseas market.
